Stefano de Luca, Contemporary Technique and Ballet
Stefano started his dance studies at a young age at Fuoricentro Spazio Danza (Lucca, Italy), where he trained in modern, classical ballet, contemporary dance, floor work and urban dances. During that time he won several scholarships to study with Formazione Bartolomei Danza Teatro e Musica, A.I.D. - Associazione Italiana Danzatori (Rome, Italy) and Codarts University of the Arts (Rotterdam, Netherlands). In 2016 Stefano was accepted into Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (Salzburg, Austria) undergraduate’s program where he trained and worked with various renowned contemporary artists including Lali Ayguade Ferro, Sadé & Kristina Alleyne, Julyen Hamilton, Yaghvali Falzari, Janyce Michellod, Isaac Spencer and Eléonore Valère Lachky. In 2019 he graduated after performing a solo from the piece “Voronia” choreographed by Marcos Morau for his own company “La Veronal”. During his studies he worked for the Salzburger Festspiele, dancing in the productions “Aida” conducted by Riccardo Muti and “Alcina” conducted by Gianluca Capuano.
Recently, he was a dancer for the English National Opera in the productions “Mask of Orpheus” and “Orphée” conducted by Martyn Brabbins and Geoffrey Paterson. In the past years he has regularly taught ballet and contemporary dance in different schools and festivals throughout Europe. He now continues developing his own practice and style while performing as a freelance artists. -
Daniele Dcfunk Cervino, Hip Hop
Daniele began his training at Scuola del Balletto di Toscana with several world-renowned masters. He is based in Italy and works as a freelance dancer and teacher internationally.
He is the founder and choreographer of “Progetto Fickle” (contemporary group that involves dancers from BDT Professional Training) and member of Fundanza Family and Principio Family (crews on national and international scenes for years).He conceive various productions with his company for performance in gala events, charity events and contests.He took part in national and international Hip-hop competitions with excellent results, also he organized events for cultural promotion..
Throughout his career Daniele’s openness and versatility allowed him to merge his work in contemporary dance and his precsnce in hip-hop culture.

Laura Peterson, Contemporary Forms
Laura Peterson is an interdisciplinary artist working in choreography and installation art. Laura’s performances have included large-scale paintings, 1000 square feet of living lawn, 14ft tall paper sculptures, and other giant structures.
Laura Peterson has been awarded residencies and commissions by HERE Arts Center, Bogliasco Foundation Fellowship in Italy, Subcircle Residency , Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, Marble House Project, and others.Her work has been commissioned throughout NYC and she created repertory for both the Pennsylvania Ballet and Hartford Ballet. Her dance, SOLO was included in Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition Judson Dance Theater: The Work Is Never Done. Her dances have been presented by The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out, and internationally in Europe and Argentina.
Laura Peterson was a guest teacher for Balance Dance Company, a pre-professional company in Boise Idaho for 7 summers. Currently, she teaches at the Joffrey Ballet School, is making a dance at Columbia Grammar and Prep School, and provides lessons for young teenagers.
Peterson has taught and choreographed works for universities and dance programs in the US and internationally.MFA in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts BFA in Modern Dance from University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

Sharon Estacio, Contemporary Forms
Originally from New York, NY, Sharon Estacio is an American dance artist residing in Florence, Italy. She attended FH Laguardia HS of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, simultaneously a fellowship student at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. She received her BFA from New York University/ Tisch School of the Arts, where she was honored with the JS Seidman Award.
As a dance artist in NYC, her previous works include commissions by Aaron Davis Hall, Mulberry Street Theater with the Jerome Foundation, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Women in Motion: Blueprint (Estrogenius Festival NYC). Her work has also been presented at Danspace Project/St. Mark’s Church, Joe’s Pub (DanceNOW[NYC]), Dixon Place, Jacob’s Pillow, La MaMa, WAX and others. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Dragon’s Egg (CT) and Earthdance (MA).
In Italy since 2009, Estacio's work has been presented at the Nao Performing Festival, Nao Crea @Uovo Festival, Fabbrica Europa, La MaMa Spoleto Open, Teatro della Limonaia (Sesto Fiorentino), MAD (formerly Le Murate PAC), Officina Caos/ Teatro Stalker. Estacio was an artist-in-residence at DiD Studio/ Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan and artist-in-residence and collaborator for Workspace Ricerca X from 2015-2016 at the Lavanderia a Vapore in Collegno (TO). -
Stefanie Nelson, Contemporary Forms
Description Stefanie Nelson is the Founder and Director of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup (SND), a contemporary dance company based in NYC, and DANCE ITALIA, an international summer dance program in Lucca, Italy. Her “instinctual, untamed, and edgy” (Eva Yaa Asantewaa) choreographic work is defined by an intuitive approach that distills deeply personal ideas into highly kinetic, expressive and provocative works rooted in cross-media collaboration with artists working in music, video and visual arts. Presented internationally in Canada, Mexico, and throughout Italy, company performance highlights include the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Lincoln Center, Jacob’s Pillow, Fabbrica Europa, DanceNOW @ DTW and Joe’s Pub, Festival de la Ciudad (MEXICO), Boston CYBER-ARTS festival, Whitney Museum (collaboration / Justin Randolph Thompson), and a live broadcast on ABC-TV’s morning show.
Ongoing SND community projects include Girls Move Us, the Moving Memory Project, & Everyone Can Dance disability workshops and performances in NYC.
Company residencies include the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Fouricentro, Bessie Shoenberg Choreographer’s Residency at The Yard (MA), Dance New Amsterdam; and space grants from The Florence Dance Center (ITALY), Company Blu (ITALY), and the Harkness Program at the 92nd Street Y.
Recent company support includes the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, NYC Mayor's office, NYC Department for the Aging, and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone.
Identified by the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) as an ‘Emerging Leader’ in the field of dance, Nelson was invited to participate in a year-long Arts Administration mentorship designed to invest in cultural infrastructure, to create a positive effect on the arts field by building stronger connections and shared knowledge between artists and arts administrators. She was a panelist for NYFA’s Choreography Fellowship awards and has been an NYFA Mentor for the past two years (2018 & 2019). Maya Orchin

Maya Orchin is a choreographer and movement director based in Brooklyn, New York. Maya Orchin has shown her work at Festival Quartier Danses (Montreal, Canada), The Olga Sawicka International Dance Festival (Ladek Zdroj, Poland), The Moscow Theater Art School (Moscow, Russia), Dance Italia (Lucca, Italy), Dock 11 (Berlin, Germany), and all over the United States. She choreographed the immersive theater show Post Mortem in Montreal, Canada. She has had artistic residencies at PAF (France) and S.P.A.M. (Italy). Maya was a choreographer and performer in the live podcast tour of ‘Israel Story’ that toured all over the U.S. and Israel. In New York her work has been shown at the 92nd St Y, Judson Church, Theater Lab, Center for Performance Research, The New Dance Alliance Festival, The Williamsburg Art and Historical Society, The Dumbo Dance Festival, Art Helix and more. As a performer she has worked with artists such as Luis Lara Malvacias, Okwui Okpokwasili, Bill T Jones, Christine Bonansea, Davis Freeman, Zoe Scofield, Madeline Hollander, Reut Shemesh, Lynn Neuman, Jody Oberfelder and more. She performed in ‘Room 29’ on a European tour with musicians Jarvis Cocker and Chilly Gonzales that was performed at Kampnagel (Hamburg, Germany), The Barbican (London, England), The Volksbuhne (Berlin, Germany), The Philharmonie (Paris, France) Le Gaite Lyrique (Paris, France), and The Kings Theater (Edinburgh, Scotland). She has been an assistant choreographer with MOMAPS1 and NIKE. This August, her movement direction work will premiere in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Mariangela Lopez, Contemporary Forms
Mariangela Lopez is a Brooklyn-based choreographer, performer and educator from Caracas, Venezuela. Her work has been presented in Australia, Mexico, France, Boston and multiple venues in New York City, including Williamsburg Art Nexus, Dixon Place, Danspace Project, Movement Research at the Judson Church, P.S 122, Tisch School of the Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, MonkeyTown, The New Museum, The Gibney Dance Center and Saint Ann’s Warehouse. Mariangela has collaborated as a choreographer with various artists including Yeah Yeah Yeahs' vocalist Karen O, Jason Grisell, Christian Joy, Victoria Keddie, Luciana Achugar, Mogollon and Gibney Dance Company NYC. Mariangela was a Movement Research Artist in Residency (2020 & 2009-2011) and a Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) Artist In Residency (2011-2013). In 2018 Lopez was commissioned by the Abrons Arts Center to present “Raphael” where she was granted as one of the three “Jerome Foundation Artists” for the Spring 2018.
In addition to her choreographic work Lopez has an extensive experience as a dance educator and movement coach, she has taught in places such as The Blue School, Dance Education Laboratory, Movement Research, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Dance New Amsterdam, The Gibney Center, The Harkness Center at 92 Street Y and the Laban Institute of Movement Studies, NYC. Mariangela holds a BFA from the Boston Conservatory and is a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) from the Laban Institute of Movement Studies.
