Dear Artists,
Our hourly rental rates have gone up from $16 to $18. Existing bookings will not be changed.
Maintaining spaces like ours requires occasional increases so we can remain open for ALL.

LAURA PETERSON CHOREOGRAPHY
LAURA PETERSON’S new work Beyond, is about the wild weather patterns caused by climate change, and with funding from Brooklyn Arts Council will be performed in Dumbo.
Peterson is a NYC-based dance artist creating visually arresting installations and rigorous choreography. Her performances have included large scale paintings, 1000 sq ft of living lawn, 16 ft tall paper sculptures, and other giant structures.
Peterson’s works have been performed throughout New York City and nationally at venues including a MoMA performance event, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out, and internationally.

We have been open since 2021 thanks to you. During the last four years, Open Arts Studio launched a new creative space for dances, theater and music, low and no-cost youth programs and classes, and supported the development of countless new works. We have enacted ‘access for all’ through our programs, and have seen meaningful impact on young artists, dancers, and musicians, and their futures.
